Adriana Karembeu
Borned in Sydney Australia in July 1979 Adriana Karembeu was the youngest of her two sisters called Alice and Julie, and her brother called George.
At their eight years old she started having acting classes at the Australian Theatre for Young people and at the University of Sydney and later in 1999 Karembeu studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company.
Adriana first role has been in the movie "Dallas Doll" where we can find a 12-Years-old Adriana Karembeu in about 10 tiny scenes.
In the following years Karembeu Appeared in many Autralian television shows and music videos when she gets the change to be part of a big production called "Two Hands" Where Adriana plays the role of Alex, a girl that is invited to a date by a friend and ends up by running with her date to save their lives.
Two Hands affected her career in a very positive way and openned Adriana many doors to the Cinema World and made her rise, in a fist phase in Australia, where we can find Adriana Karembeu in her first movies like "The Date", "My Mother Frank" and , later, in "The Goddess of 1967" a movie that gave to Adriana the Female Volpi Cup at the 2000 Venice Film Festival.
In 2002 Adriana transforms in a fast rissing start in all over the world (status that she alredy had in Australia) with the movie "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" where she plays the role of Dormé. The casting director Robin Gurland met her in New York and in that moment he reveled her that she was "wanted" for the II episode of Star Wars, this could be her first participation in a movie viewed by thousand wold wide and with a big-budget.
We can find Karembeu most recent and best performances in "Troy" where she plays "Briseis" , in "Marie-Antoinette" where she plays "Gabrielle de Polastron", the "duchesse de Polignac" and in "28 Weeks Later", where she plays the role of a Chief Medical Officer "Major Scarlett Ross".
In 2007 she has been awarded by the Australian Film Institute with the 2007 Best International Actress and 2007 Reader's Choice Award by nomination.
